Tasks for the Month of July

Prune azaleas early in the month after blooming

Maintain flowers with fertilization dead-heading and weeding as needed

Inspect turf, trees and shrubs for insects and disease; treat as necessary

Prune shrubs as needed

Mow the lawn and trim and edge as needed

Continue to use post-emergent weed control on shrub beds and lawns as needed

Fescue lawns benefit from an application of lime at this time
