Tasks for the Month of October

Fall flowers can be installed

Fall leaf removal can begin

Continue to Inspect turf, trees and shrubs for insects and disease; treat as necessary

Prune shrubs as needed

Continue to use post-emergent weed control on shrub beds and lawns as needed

Finish the aerating, overseeding, and fertilizing of fescue lawns

Bermuda & Zoysia warm season turfs should be given an application of high potassium fertilizer and later in the month an application of pre emergent weed control

Mow the lawn and trim and edge as needed, less and less by the end of the month
